I am sitting in my office and looked up at your blog, “Believe in You and Success Will Come True” still hanging on my wall for daily inspiration and thought I would check your blog to see if you have written any other inspirational messages.
I am THRILLED to see you wrote a book . Congratulations!!!!! I can’t wait to read it!
I was put onto the book “Winning the customer” by our Digital Media consultant for our Club Sean Callanan. We are an Australian Football Club called the Adelaide Crows. I am only about a 1/4 of the way through however there are quite a few similarities to what you have proposed as to what we do here.
In my role as General Manager of People and Communications I have been doing some restructuring of departments and the way you describe the Commercial area is exactly what we are doing.
We have set up separate Sales or Business development, servicing and events as stand alone departments with my area overseeing all the marketing activities that go on within these area. Our merchandise section whilst not large lives within the sales section.
This new structure will assist us in focusing our expertise on these areas rather than spreading our knowledge across these areas.

Looking forward to the rest of the book.

Best of luck Craig. I hope Winning the Customer can help fill in any blanks if you have them.
